The Psychological Characteristics for the School Bully : Focused on KCYP Test and MMPI-A

Abstract
This study was conducted to elucidate the psychological profiles for the youth who were forced to attend the group counseling programs supported by A city's School District. Subjects were transferred to get the psychological therapeutic service due to the school bullying by the Council for the School Violence Countermeasures. Before the group psychotherapy, every youth have to take the KCYP(Korean Child and Youth Personality) test and the MMPI-A(Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory- Adolescent). Subjects were 50 students consisted of 46 first and 4 second grade, in those girls were 37(74%). All was attended at junior school. Results were as follows; 1)Family conflict was the highest mean score, then the delinquency and the media overindulgence were in order on the KCYP categories. 2)In the MMPI-A, the Pd(Psychopathic deviate) and the Hy(Hysteria) score were higher than the others. 3)Depression and Conflict with Parent were highest in score for the subcategory of the KCYP. These connoted that the psychological main factors for the school bullying were the family relation in the environmental perspective and also the delinquency in terms of the individual dimension, of which more specifically the antisocial character was combined with some levels. Not the main factor, but the overindulgence in the smart phone, the cyber games, and the internet surfing would be on the rise to know the school bully's life habit and style. For the effective psychological services and art therapy technique (e.g. KFD) to the school bullies in the field, Psychological difficulties were to be differentiated the individual problem for the environmental problems.
